Recently our students participated in friendly Interschool matches for football and Cricket.
Some highlights on the Football matches:
- Football match with Al-hidaya college was held for 16 below age group. The match ended in a tie.
- 18 below age group match was won by 4-1. We wish all the best to both teams.
- Match with Under 14, we won by 3-1 with Al hijra college. Special thing is they are division champions.
- We also played with Olcat school and won the match by 2-1

Some highlights on the cricket matches:
- 1st match: Asoka Vidyalaya – 91 all out 30 overs, St. Mathew’s College – 92 /4 .12 overs
- 2nd Match 15 overs. St Mathew’s College 103/6 And Asoka Vidyalaya 78/9 for 15 overs
Even with Financial difficulties and no fields for training, we were able to achieve many victories in a short period of time. All due to our dedicated teachers who took over the training and coached them well. Mr. Nalaka Dayananada, Teacher-in- charge of sports was the one who initiated the football sport in our school. Mr. Dayanada also coached the school cricket teams. Mr. Nistar sir, who was in charge of our school’s football game, Mr. Mohammad Rushdi, one of the old boys of the school who worked as a coach despite training under less facilities. We thank them from the bottom of our hearts.
