Prefects’ Day 2020 was held on 28th February 2020 at the College main hall.
As per tradition, the Chief Guests were welcomed by the Principal of the College Mr. U.D.S. Wickramarathna and senior staff members and led by the College Western Band. The proceedings started with the lighting of the Traditional Oil Lamp followed by the National Anthem, School Anthem and Religious Ceremony.
The highlight of the day was the pinning of the Prefects Badges on the new Board of Prefects the formal Swearing in led by the New Head Prefect Hansa Lakshitha. Congratulations to the new Prefect Board.
Also, School officialy launched the College Website, Designed & Developed by Designs Cascade.
Prefects Day also honored one of our teachers Mrs. M. A. Mallika, on her retirement.
Nagarika Manthri Hon. Neville Milroy, who was one of Old Boys of St.Matthew’s Collge, made a contribution to the school by donation school uniforms to the students.
