48th Big Match 2020 between St.John’s College (Neela) and St.Matthew’s College (Haritha), Colombo 09, was held on Sunday 8th March 2020 at the Wesley College Ground, Colombo 08 from 9.30 am on wards. Congratulations St. John’s College Colombo who won the battle. Well played brothers. And Best of luck next time to our Green Team.
This epic battle was named as ‘Battle of the Dematagoda Saints’ in ealier times and later was changed to ‘Battle of Neela Haritha’.
Hasitha Rukshan Perera was the Captain While Mohamed Askam Ilham was the Wise Captain of the Green Team that represents St.Matthew’s College. The team was coached by Mr. Duncan and Mr. Danuka and managed by the School teachers Mr. H. D. D Subash Karunarathna, Mr. B. S. Bansajaya and Mr. H.K. Nalaka Dayananda.
The event was organized by the College Principal Mr. U. D.S. Wikramarathne, Mr. Chandana Bandara, and sponsored by Mr. G. K. I Bandula and OBA of St.Matthew’s College.
